Pop girl group The Pussycat Dolls reunited on The X Factor in the U.K. this week. Nicole Scherzinger and co. performed a medley of their greatest hits and previewed new single "React."
The ladies of the Pussycat Dolls made headlines this week when they announced their reunion for the first time in almost a decade since disbanding in 2010. The returning members include Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt, and Carmit Bachar, who originally departed the group in 2008. Melody Thornton is the only member who declined the invitation back.
Ahead of their reunion tour in the U.K. next year, the Pussycat Dolls gave the world a taste of their live show on the The X Factor. Five spotlights revealed the ladies with Scherzinger front and center as they opened with "Buttons." Their sexy routine is still as choreography heavy as before, giving the pop music the oomph it's been missing since PCD broke up. They followed that with "When I Grow Up" where Scherzinger was able to flex her pipes on the melodramatic bridge. "Be careful what you wish for Simon," she said to show-runner Cowell. "You just might get it, baby." The ladies brought down with the house with their debut smash "Don't Cha," which led to a preview of their new single "React." The crowd reaction was strong after the Pussycat Dolls pulled off some water-splashing move inspired by the 1980s movie Flashdance for their grand finale.
The Pussycat Dolls' arena tour kicks off next year in Dublin on April 5. There's no word yet on when to expect their new single "React" to drop in full. After wrapping the concerts in London on April 17, hopefully the ladies extend their live reunion to the U.S. later in the year.
