In time for the self-quarantine we're all under, the highly-anticipated music video for Paulina Rubio and Alejandra Guzman's "Ni Tú Ni Nadie" leaked online today. The Latin queen of pop and la reina del rock take it to the boxing ring for their cover of Alaska and Dinamara's '80s classic.
Last week, the news program De Primera Mano was receiving clips and pictures of Rubio and Guzman's "Ni Tú Ni Nadie" collaboration. This cover was going to be part of their planned "Versus Part II Tour" in the U.S. this year. Whoever was leaking this possibly scrapped project, finally let the whole thing out today. The two women shine with the glam pop song, harmonizing their distinct voices. They bring their media-fueled "feud" to the boxing ring and look snatched taking swipes at each other. Rubio in particular stands out with her cheetah-print gloves. If formally released, "Ni Tú Ni Nadie" would be a fierce and fabulous knockout by the Mexican divas.
With this leak of the "Ni Tú Ni Nadie" music video, fans are wondering if this spells the end for "Versus Part II Tour." One thing's for sure is that in this time of Coronavirus (or COVID-19) that artists are cancelling and postponing their concerts so people can practice social distancing and self-quarantining. At the moment, it's very unlikely for Rubio and Guzman to announce anything. Rubio will release her next single "Tú y Yo" with Mexican DJ Raymix on March 20.
