Pop superstar Britney Spears' scrapped track "I Feel So Free With You" surfaced online on Oct. 28. She dabbles in Latin music with the help of Pitbull and Marc Anthony.
"I Feel So Free With You" is actually not Spears' first time at the Latin music rodeo. Back in 2017, she recorded a demo of The Fate of the Furious soundtrack cut "Hey Ma" with Pitbull and Romeo Santos. For the final product, Spears and Santos were later replaced by Camila Cabello and J Balvin. The demo however later leaked online, showing what could've been.
"I Feel So Free With You" was meant to be Britney's debut in the Latin music market. Pitbull first teased the collaboration in June of last year. They recorded the track while Pitbull was opening for Spears' Piece of Me Tour in Europe. Their tour together was the perfect time to release it, but the months dragged on without it ever being mentioned again. The European leg of the Piece of Me Tour ended in October 2018 and with it the hopes of hearing that song.
Like the demo of "Hey Ma" before it, "I Feel So Free With You" has leaked in full. The track blends the mambo with trap music beats. Spears sounds better on it than on "Hey Ma." "Baby, you hit me like a freight train," she sings. Anthony's verses are cringe-worthy with naughty wordplay that doesn't quite land. "You've been giving me head...lines," he sings. Yikes! Pitbull comes through with an always reliable verse that shouts of his fellow Latinos. "This is for all of my dreamers, keep fighting for freedom," he raps. "Free" is a breezy Latin bop with Britney sounding like she's at her freest. #FreeBritney
