Australian pop goddess Kylie Minogue has returned with her new single "Say Something." She gets back into the groove on the retro track.
"Say Something" is the lead single from Minogue's aptly-titled Disco album. It's a return to form for her after releasing 2018's country-tinged Golden album. She reunites with Richard "Biff" Stannard, the man behind her dance classics like "Love at First Sight," "In My Arms," and "In Your Eyes."
Disco-pop is the genre du jour with recent hit albums like Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia and Lady Gaga's Chromatica. That's a sound Minogue has embraced throughout her illustrious career, especially on her 2000 album Light Years.
"Say Something" is disco with an electro-funk edge. Minogue serves sex and salvation with her hopeful lyrics. On the bridge with cinematic strings, she leads a choir and asks, "Can we all be as one again?" Come on, Kylie, teleport us to disco heaven! She asserts her dance floor dominance with this dazzling declaration.
"Say Something" is now available on all major streaming platforms. Minogue's Disco album will be released on November 6.
