Colombian singer-songwriter Feid dropped the hotly-anticipated remix of his hit "Porfa" with Justin Quiles. It's a reggaetón event release with the addition of fellow Colombianos J Balvin and Maluma, Panama's Sech, and Puerto Rico's Nicky Jam. The moody banger gets taken to another level.
"I worked with and have know Balvin for years, and Maluma and I solidified a bond when I worked on his last album," Feid says in a statement. "In a lot of ways, I'm taking advantage of this remix to make something new. It feels like my first song ever."
Feid is most known as one of the writers on J Balvin's 2015 breakthrough hit "Ginza." While carving a career for himself as an artist, Feid has continued to write for other acts, including Maluma and Sech, who are now returning the favor with the "Porfa" remix. The original version with Quiles is lifted from Feid's latest album FERXXO VOL. 1: M.O.R.
"This is the mother f**king remix!" Sech declares at the start of the new version of "Porfa." Now clocking in at over five minutes, Feid and Quiles commiserate over a relationship reaching its end with J Balvin, Maluma, Sech, and Nicky Jam. They guys take turns pleading to their lovers not to leave them. Feid and Quiles did sad well on the original, but this new remix runs through a wider range of emotions thanks to this diverse cast of characters who bring something different to the table. For the reggaetón sentimental fans, "Porfa" is a real in-my-feelings pleaser.
Feid and Justin Quiles' remix of "Porfa" is now available on all streaming platforms. The remix is part of a new mixtape of B-sides that Feid has coming out soon.
