Mexican heartthrob Carlos Rivera premiered the music video for his new single "Perdiendo La Cabeza" with Chicana artist Becky G and Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Pedro Capó. The guys do their best to win over Ms. G in the carnival-esque clip.
"Perdiendo La Cabeza," or "Losing My Head," is the latest single from Rivera. It's his first taste of new material since 2018's Guerra album, which featured his cover of Disney's Coco classic "Recuérdame" and "Regrésame Mi Corazón." Instead of losing his heart, Rivera has lost his head over Becky G. With Capó in the mix, that trio recalls a fleeting romance that's still got them all shook up. Rivera, Capó, and Becky G take turns relieving those sweet moments in soaring performances. Carlos is particularly passionate in his delivery. This Latin pop bop with a reggaeton kick is a breezy ride down memory lane.
In the music video for "Perdiendo La Cabeza," Rivera and Capó take Becky G for a ride to possible romance. As Becky takes her tiny boat through a tunnel of love, the guys change up their looks and scenarios, from cabelleros with traditional Día de Los Muertos makeup to astronauts fighting in space for her affection. It's a cute clip that captures the spirit of their collaboration.
"Perdiendo La Cabeza" is now available on iTunes and Apple Music. There's no word yet if it will lead to a new album from Rivera, who has been on a world tour for nearly two years for the Guerra album. Last July, he celebrated 15 years in the music industry since his win on the Mexican reality show competition La Academia.
