Mexican superstar Carlos Rivera premiered the music video for "Vuelves." He takes on the hit song by Spanish artist Rozalén.
"Vuelves," or "Come Back," is the first song from Rivera's "Si Fuera Mía" project. In English that translates into "If It Were Mine." For the next seven weeks, Rivera will be covering songs that he wishes were his by artists from different countries.
Rozalén first released "Vuelves" in 2015 on her album Quién Me Ha Visto... Rivera's love for the song is no secret. In 2017, he performed it alongside Rozalén during the Madrid stop of his Yo Creo Tour. For his "Si Fuera Mía" project, he tackles the song alone in a stripped-down arrangement. Rivera's voice soars as he masterfully emotes the longing in Rozalén's lyrics. He makes the ballad all his own with this beautiful rendition.
In the music video, Rivera looks like an antojito as he belts "Vuelves" in a vintage setup. The song follows his previous releases this year, the charity single "Ya Pasará" and his hit "Perdiendo La Cabeza" with Becky G and Pedro Capó.
Rivera's version of "Vuelves" is now available on all digital platforms. Watch his "Si Fuera Mía" project unfold every week with a new cover.
