It's Britney, bitch! And she's back with remixes of her latest single "Mood Ring (By Demand)." In honor of LGBTQ+ Pride month, Spears released two new versions of the track with a special message included for fans.
Spears first declared her iconic "It's Britney, bitch!" line back in 2007 on the Blackout lead single "Gimme More." That line was later recycled in 2013 on her "Scream & Shout" collaboration with will.i.am. On the new Pride and Ape Drums remixes of "Mood Ring," whispers, "There's only one bitch. The real one... Britney." Spears finally brings that fierceness of her perfume commercials to her music with that new line.
As part of May's #JusticeForGlory campaign where fans got her underrated 2016 album Glory to No. 1 on iTunes, Spears added "Mood Ring" to the album and released the song globally on all streaming platforms. When Glory first dropped, "Mood Ring" was only available as a bonus track in Japan. To reflect the fans' thirst for the track, she added "By Demand" to the title.
The Pride Remix of "Mood Ring" is by far the superior remix, sounding like German DJ Robin Schulz's remix of Mr Probz's "Waves." Those waves of EDM blended with DJ Mustard's trap-lite beats makes for a refreshing trop-pop listen. The Ape Drums remix is alright. It embraces more of that slow and sexy tempo from the original version.

The "Mood Ring" remixes are now available on all streaming platforms. This week Spears also recorded a message to her fans for Pride month. "To all my friends at the LGBTQ community, happy Pride month," she said. That video went viral and inspired plenty of memes because the LGBTQ + community sounds like an exclusive club in her heartfelt message.
